Jitet Kustana was born in 1967 in Semarang (Java - Indonesia) and still lives there. He is one of the best known and most renowned cartoonists of his country and has won many awards. This cartoon shows the power of satire to defy those who would abuse power.
2. Guillotine
For more than 30 years, Bruce MacKinnon has been the editorial cartoonist for the Halifax Chronicle Herald in Nova Scotia, Canada. Over his career he has won numerous regional, national and international awards. His work has been published and exhibited across the globe, and is part of the permanent collections of the National Archives of Canada, the U.S. Library of Congress and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia among other galleries and institutions. He is a member of the Order of Nova Scotia and the Order of Canada.
