Life in Haiti – Who is the scape goat of the earthquake?

In the summer of 2011, the Cartoon Movement  team (Tjeerd Royaards, Matt Bors & Caroline Bins-Dijckmeester) went to Haiti in search of cartoonists and journalists to work on a project focusing on the struggles their country faces in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that rocked Port-au-Prince in 2010.

In collaboration with the cartoonist Matt Bors , including contributions from the Haitian artist Chevelin Pierre, Dutch fVJM journalist Caroline Bins created a video which incorporates animated illustrations to paint a picture of a group particularly impacted by the earthquake, the gay and lesbian community.
